irises and friends

tomorrow an old college friend arrives for a visit. i haven’t seen her in about 8 years or so and i am really looking forward to catching up and hanging out. erin was one of my best friends in college. we hung out all the time (particularly when we roomed together which was great fun). after losing touch for some years, we finally reconnected. we chatted about how it would be great to see each other again, and next thing she’s got a ticket over to visit! yayness. i’m very excited! i’m expecting a great week (and no doubt a lot of late nights).
i recall irises being her favourite flower so picked up a bunch for the living room. i could be wrong though…but hopefully not.
